Pearl Academy, a fashion design institute has collaborated with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) to showcase ‘First Cut’ at the finale of the Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI.
With ‘First Cut’, Pearl Academy aims to provide a platform to its fashion design students to explore technology, consciousness, and sustainability.
The theme for this year’s show is ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) is Contagious’ through which young fashion designers will showcase their perspective on the intersection of AI, sustainability, and fashion.
Aditi Srivastava, president of Pearl Academy in a statement said, “Our participation in Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI exemplifies how we empower students to not only push the boundaries of their creativity but also gain invaluable exposure to the industry. The show blends innovation with awareness, showcasing the evolution of fashion as a medium to reflect the zeitgeist of our ever-changing world.”

Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI will take place from March 13 to 17 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.
