Designer Payal Pratap took inspiration from nature and presented vibrant, floral womenswear on the runway for her ‘Kiss from a Rose’ showcase at Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India.
For spring/ summer 2025, Payal Pratap took a quirky, nonchalant approach to florals and looked back to the 2010s’ irreverent styles. Models walked the runway in playful western style separates such as bright green skirts, light orange jackets, and belted denim coats, mixed with ditsy floral printed blouses and bomber jackets.
Pixelated style floral embroidery gave denim pieces a feminine flair and iridescent textiles added glamour to the smart casual silhouettes. The collection’s textiles included handlooms, linen, cotton silk, duchess satin, denim, and georgette and details included oversized bows and hair accessories.
“Payal’s collection’Kiss from a Rose’ was designed for the confident woman who is unafraid to experiment with her sartorial choices,” announced the brand in a press release. “She will undoubtedly love Payal Pratap’s line that is aimed at the nature lover.”
Running from October 9 to 13 in New Delhi, Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI presents spring/ summer collections from designers and brands across the country. The fashion week also features design contests and held its Sustainable Fashion Day on October 10.
