Women’s occasion wear brand Papa Don’t Preach has teamed up with watch brand SevenFriday to launch two collaborative watches as its first foray into timepieces. The collaborative line features bright designs and a maximalist aesthetic with SevenFriday’s Swiss technology.
“When I first met Dan, the founder of SevenFriday, four years ago at a social event; we were excited to discuss our respective brands and found that our ideologies matched,” said Papa Don’t Preach’s founder and CEO Shubhika Sharma in a press release. “What came next was a collaboration four years in the making; with us taking calls and meetings across time zones and over the course of the pandemic. We knew no matter how long it took, we would be creating works of art and I’m extremely proud of how it turned out.”
The silver and gold watches feature vibrant watch faces, each with a youthful, fusion style design in Papa Don’t Preach’s signature pop-traditional aesthetic. The watches have launched as part of SevenFriday’s ‘C-series’ which are the thinnest and smallest watches the business has produced to date.
The watches are equipped with an embedded NFC chip which enables short range data sending and feature quartz movement. “These watches mark an exhilarating new phase in our journey, enabling our customers to embrace a fragment of the Papaverse on their wrists,” said Sharma.
