New mall Omaxe Chowk is scheduled to hold its grand opening in early March with stores from over 85 Indian and international brands including fine jewellery brand Kalyan Jewellers. The mall will feature a ‘Bridal Market’ and ‘Jewel Court to offer a large selection of wedding and occasion wear fashions.
The Kalyan Jewellers store is already complete within the mall, Omaxe Chowk announced on Facebook. The store marked its completion with a ribbon cutting and lamp lighting ceremony attended by Kalyan Jewellers executives and staff. The store has an all-glass façade and spacious, bright interior, showcasing its latest designs in illuminated glass cabinets.
“Spanning over 1.11 million square feet, this iconic destination offers an unparalleled shopping experience and will be featuring India’s largest food court, Dawatpur,” said Omaxe Group’s executive director Jatin Goel, India Retailing reported. “A 70,000 square foot dedicated space for the jewellery section, making it the biggest jewellery hub of the market and a must-visit wedding shopping destination.”
The mall is located on New Delhi’s high street Chandni Chowk and the development is spread across 4.5 acres of land. The project is designed to elevate the retail offering of Purani Dilli (Old Delhi) by bringing numerous brands to the area.
Omaxe Chowk is a project by Omaxe Group, launched by entrepreneur Rohtas Goel in 1987. The business specialises in developing malls, office spaces, residential projects, and townships and is also working on a mall development project in Vrindavan.
