Obeetee launches design studio in Pune

Luxury brand Obeetee Carpets has opened its sixth exclusive brand outlet in India to date in Pune and celebrated the launch by debuting its collaborative collection with designer Mariella Ienna titled ‘Mediterranean Memories.’

The new Obeetee store is located in Pune’s Sangamwadi neighbourhood by Design21, the brand announced in a press release. Along with being Obeetee’s fourth store in southern India, the boutique is its second in Maharashtra. While the store launch marks Obeetee’s commitment to continued expansion in India, its new collection launch marks its expansion into modern design with an emphasis on cultural fusion.
 
“Our collaboration with Mariella Ienna represents a significant step for Obeetee,” said Obeetee Carpets’ CEO Angelique Dhama in a press release. “Mediterranean Memories is a beautiful fusion of Italian and Indian influences, and we’re delighted to share this cross-cultural artistry with our Pune customers.”
 
Obeetee Carpets was established in 1920 and specialises in hand-knotted and hand-tufted carpets. The business counts stores across India as well as its direct to customer e-commerce store.
