Nykaa expands ‘Hidden Gems’ segment to promote desi brands

Multi-brand beauty and fashion retailer Nykaa has expanded its Nykaa Gems store feature to include more up-and-coming Indian brands at more affordable price points to boost desi labels and help shoppers discover new finds.

“There is an incredible bunch of designers and talent all over the country who are building amazing new trends and designs and often not getting discovered because they don’t have the right platform,” said Nykaa Fashion’s CEO Adwaita Nayar in a press release. “The inspiration really are the incredible designers themselves and the opportunity to support them in a bigger way through this portfolio.” 
 
Brands featured in Nykaa Gems include The Cai Store, House of Fett, Seeaash, Gulaabo, Zariin, House of Vian, The Summer House, Ete, and The Leather Garden among others. The segment of Nykaa Fashion’s e-commerce store positions Nykaa as a destination for discovering new labels while promising stringent quality standards, according to Nayar. 

“We have actively gone and widened the price points over the last couple of months,” said Nayar. “We have tons of products at all different prices ranging from affordable to more premium. In fact, we have over 15,000 products under [Rs] 3,500. We are also actively making sure that we are extremely well rounded so we have all kinds of brands and many products that can serve you on a daily basis.”
