Womenswear brand Nikasha will launch its new resort wear line ‘Nikasha Goa’ at The Amethyst Room in Chennai on December 6. The event will see designer Nikasha Tawadey Khemka present her maiden resort collection of tropical inspired clothing.
Nikasha Goa features natural textiles in hues of ecru with delicate botanical details and hints of print. Exposed stitch details and raw edges add to the earthy feel of the line and loose silhouettes mix with more streamlined cuts for a modern look. The collection is priced from Rs 5,500 to Rs 17,500 and will make its debut at the Amethyst showcase.
“Their resort collection showcases a rare blend of sustainable material and exquisite craftsmanship,” announced The Amethyst Room in a press release. “This includes vintage hand drawn prints, unique embroideries and signature silhouettes and details, as each piece is meticulously handcrafted, reflecting our commitment to both style and sustainability.”
Nikasha Tawadey Khemka launched Nikasha in 2006 and the brand retails a mix of prêt and demi-couture with a delicate, feminine aesthetic. The label has presented collections at numerous Indian fashion weeks as well as in New York, US; Shanghai, China; and Paris, France.
