Flipkart’s fashion arm Myntra has announced Bollywood celebrities Khushi Kapoor and Vedang Raina as its new brand ambassadors for Myntra Fashion Forward. The stars will feature in a campaign film for the Gen-Z-focused fashion platform.
“With Myntra FWD, we are building the hottest trends destination for the Gen-Z of India,” said Myntra’s senior director of marketing Vijay Sharma in a press release. “We are thrilled to have the young trendsetters – Khushi Kapoor and Vedang Raina – as the faces of FWD.”
Kapoor and Raina appeared in their first video for Myntra FWD with a short introduction inspired by the new Barbie movie, Myntra announced on Facebook. The duo were chosen for their appeal amongst Gen Z shoppers to help Myntra Fwd connect with its target customer base.
“FWD is built on the core principles of freshness, individuality, and trendiness, and these are the tenets that perfectly encapsulate the essence of fashion as I perceive it,” said Khushi Kapoor about her new role. “Myntra is at the forefront of driving fashion-tech fusion for an immersive shopping experience, and FWD is an extension of that.”
Myntra Fashion Forward features more than 500 brands, both Indian and international, and aims to provide a varied mix of youthful styles. Brands housed on the e-commerce store include Boohoo, H&M, Bebe, Sassafras, and Freakins among others.
“Fashion is a relatively simple but a strong way for people to express their true selves,” said Vedang Raina. “A unique offering like FWD is enabling millions of Zoomers to unlock their personal sense of style, giving them more confidence to be their authentic selves.”
