Luggage and accessories brand Mokobara has opened its first North India store in Gurugram in Haryana. Located within MGF Metropolitan mall, the store is the brand’s seventh brick-and-mortar outlet in India to date.
“Unlocking new horizons and how delighted to share Mokobara has officially opened its doors at MGF Metropolitan, Gurgaon,” wrote Mokobara’s head of business development Ayushi Yadav on Linkedin. “This is our first stride in the North region.”
The new store houses Mokobara’s recently launched ultra-light suitcase line as well as a selection of travel accessories for men and women. Other products available in the store include tote bags, laptop bags, and wallets among others.
Mokobara joins brands and retailers including Shoppers Stop, Metro Shoes, Crocs, Hype, Lacoste, Meena Bazaar, Lenskart, Puma, Manyavar, and Nike in MGF Metropolitan Mall, according to the shopping centre’s website. The mall is located in Mehrauli and run by MGF Auto Ventures, which also runs MGF Metropolitan malls in Saket and Jaipur as well as a MGF Mega City mall in Gurgaon.
Mokobara opened its first offline store in India in May this year in Bengaluru, India Retailing reported. The brand has since gone on to open in locations including Indiranagar, Mumbai, and Pune. The brand plans to open over 20 stores by the end of the 2024 financial year.
