Direct to customer brand aggregator Mensa Brands has launched three of its labels on democratic e-commerce platform, the open network for digital commerce. Mensa Brands aims to expand its pan-India retail presence of its brands Villain, Priyaasi and MyFitness through ONDC.
“We are thrilled to join forces with ONDC and introduce our leading brands, Villain, Priyaasi and MyFitness, to a vast audience of digital shoppers,” said Mensa Brands’ founder Ananth Narayanan, India Retailing reported. “Our collaboration in the initial stage of the network allows us to form deep partnerships with the various stakeholders and expand our presence across the country.”
Villain is a men’s fashion and lifestyle brand which retails clothing, accessories, fragrances, and personal care goods. Priyaasi is a jewellery brand which retails both ethnic and modern, everyday style designs and MyFitness is a health foods brand specialising in peanut butter. By launching an array of product categories on ONDC, Bengaluru-based Mensa Brands will be able to gauge shoppers’ responses on ONDC.
“As we continue to expand, we look forward to the potential inclusion of more brands from Mensa Brands, offering customers more options within the diverse and enriching shopping experience provided by applications and sellers on the ONDC Network,” said ONDC’s managing director T Koshy.
All three brands are now available on buyer apps which are part of the ONDC network. These include Paytm, Phonepe, Spicesmartshop, Eunimart, Craftsvilla, and Mystore. ONDC is designed to democratise online shopping in India by showcasing products regardless of the size of the seller business.
