Lux Industries Ltd reported 59 percent increase in net profit to Rs 32 crore ($3.7 million) for the third quarter ended December 2024, as against Rs 20 crore in the year ago quarter.
The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 22 percent to Rs 549 crore, as against Rs 450 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
During the quarter, men’s innerwear brand, Lux Cozi registered volume growth of 14 percent while Lux Venus registered volume growth of 47 percent.
“Subdued consumption demands because of inflation as trends were similar to preceding quarters. Our brands continue to expand strategically in key markets with power brands performing well despite inflationary pressures,” Lux said in its investor presentation.
“Promising response received for brand ‘Lux Venus Rainwear’ in its debut season. We made aggressive investments in brand building with focus on premiumization and brand recognition,” it added.
The company launched its first exclusive brand outlet for ‘Onn’ in Bangalore during the quarter to further strengthen its presence in existing market.
Lux Industries Ltd operates brands like Genx, Lyra, and Onn, among many others, and is one of the largest players in the hosiery business.
