From September 16 to 17, members of the JD Institute of Fashion Technology set up shop in the mall to offer denim customisation. Shoppers could work with JD Institute of Fashion Technology to bring their creative ideas into reality for an initiative which promoted sustainability through upcycling and creativity with fashion, according to the mall.

The weekend saw several bands perform live music in the mall. The Denim Fest also features double digit discounts on Indian and international denim brands in the mall throughout its duration to boost sales at the end of the summer season, Lulu Group announced on Facebook.

In the aftermath of Covid-19 and its subsequent boom in online shopping, many Indian malls have focused on running shopping fairs and engaging events to provide offline-only experiences and drive mall footfall.

Lulu Mall Lucknow is run by real estate and retail business Lulu Group, which is owned by M A Yusuff Ali, a Kerala-born, UAE-based entrepreneur and billionaire. The business runs a number of malls in India, including Lulu Mall Kochi, Lulu Mall Bengaluru, and Lulu Mall Thiruvananthapuram.
