Swiss luxury watch brand Longines has opened its first company-owned store in India. The exclusive brand outlet has opened its doors inside Select Citywalk in New Delhi’s Saket.
“Watch out, world,” announced Select Citywalk on Facebook. “Longines has entered the chat. Welcome a journey of exquisite craftsmanship and sophistication- now at Select Citywalk.”
The store retails a wide selection of premium watches for both men and women. With a glass storefront, the interior of the space has a classic palette of cream and dark wood with illuminated glass cabinets to display Longines’ watches. By opening a company-owned store in India, Longines shows its commitment to continued growth in the Indian market, which has a growing middle class and demand for premium goods.
Longines watches have a classic aesthetic and the brand has close ties with the world of sport. In India, Longines retails through a network of over 80 points of sale in multi-brand stores, according to its website. The brand offers 354 watch designs for men and 51 for women, India Retailing reported.
Longines has a brand history of over 190 years and is based in Saint-Imier in Switzerland. The business is a member of the Swatch Group Limited and retails in more than 150 countries worldwide, according to Longines’ Linkedin page.
