On April 17, lab grown diamond jewellery business Limelight Diamonds will open its second exclusive brand outlet in the city of Kolkata. The brick-and-mortar outlet will be located in Kankurgachi and is designed to enable the brand to connect with more shoppers in West Bengal.
“Join Adah Sharma for the launch of our second store in Kankurgachi, Kolkata on 17th April, 2024,” announced Limelight Diamonds on Facebook on April 11. Sharma, who is known for her acting in Hindi and Telugu cinema, will lead the store’s inauguration wearing some of the brand’s latest jewellery designs.
The store will house a variety of everyday and festive jewellery designs featuring Limelight Diamonds’ lab grown diamonds. The brand is known for its modern aesthetic which incorporates fusion style elements.
Early April saw Limelight Diamonds announce that it has secured a $1 million investment which it plans to put towards opening brick-and-mortar stores across India. The brand currently counts 10 brick-and-mortar stores in India as well as over 40 shop in shops in 25 cities including Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
Along with enabling Limelight Diamonds to increase brand visibility and shoppers to try on jewellery in person, the brand’s brick-and-mortar stores are also designed to promote lab grown diamonds as an accessible and sustainable jewellery choice. Lab grown diamonds are increasing in popularity in the Indian jewellery market as brands such as Limelight Diamonds work to raise awareness about them.
