Lancôme has announced the appointment of Nigerian-American actress, producer, and director Joy Sunday as a new global ambassador of the beauty brand.
With an array of performances in TV and films, including ‘Dear White People’, ‘Bad Hair’, ‘Shithouse’, and ‘The Beta Test’, Sunday most recently portrayed Bianca Barclay in the Netflix series ‘Wednesday’, directed by Tim Burton.
“We are honored to welcome Joy to the Lancôme family,” said Francoise Lehmann, Lancôme global brand president.
“Her exceptional talent, unwavering passion, and fresh and young energy are truly inspiring”.
Sunday joins long-serving Lancôme global ambassadors Isabella Rossellini and Amanda Seyfried, as well as Emma Chamberlain, and Aya Nakamura, who were appointed as ambassadors in early 2023.
“Lancôme has always been a brand that I have admired for its commitment to empowering women and inspiring us to be the best versions of ourselves,” said Sunday.
“I believe these values are crucial in today’s world, and I am proud to represent and collaborate with a brand that shares my beliefs.”
In November, parent company L’Oreal reported third quarter sales ose 11.1% led by growth in Europe and the United States but missing expectations for a strong rebound in China.
