“Our long-term vision for our ethnic wear label is to be a trailblazer in the ever-evolving fashion industry,” said Kalki Fashion’s director and co-founder Nishit Gupta in a press release. “We aim to set enduring trends, consistently offering a blend of traditional and contemporary style that resonates with diverse global audiences. Fuelled by innovation and a commitment to quality craftsmanship, we aspire to be recognised as a go-to destination for those seeking timeless, yet modern, ethnic fashion. Embracing sustainability and inclusivity, we envision contributing to a positive and transformative influence on the fashion landscape for years to come.”

As well as opening in Hyderabad, Kalki has identified Punjab, Lucknow, and Indore as potential markets for brick-and-mortar expansion. The brand currently counts 35,000 square feet of retail space in India and expects to see its revenue rise to Rs 18 crore thanks to its recent store opening in Surat.

Kalki has held pop-up shops in the US, UAE, Thailand, Australia, and Canada and has launched its designs in a number of international multi-brand stores. The brand has reported a positive response to these international forays and plans to expand further in global markets in the near future.

The business remains a bootstrapped venture and is growing through organic growth alone. Kalki currently plans to continue to maintain its financial independence but is open to exploring strategic collaborations in the future, according to its press release.
