Conscious luxury label Kaamna has launched a new line of handbags and accessories made from Pinatex, a natural non-woven material made from the fibres of pineapple leaves. The collection is designed to expand the brand’s sustainable product offering.
Kaamna’s new collection is titled ‘Renovate’ and has launched on the brand’s direct to customer e-commerce store, the label announced in a press release. The new product line mixes structured bag designs with the tactile Pinatex fabric. This juxtaposition is added to by gold ‘Kaamna’ brand logos and other gold hardware on the bags, designed to present eco-friendly textiles in a new light.
Products in the collection are priced from Rs 4,799 to Rs 35,000 and accessories range from a small keychain pouch to a large tote bag. Four different bag designs come in three colour ways each from asymmetric saddle bags to hobo bags. All products in the collection are made from Pinatex, a byproduct of the agricultural industry, which is vegan, durable, and biodegradable.
“Renovate captures the essence of being open-minded for reinvention,” announced the brand in a press release. “The luxe range of handbags is a mélange of asymmetric silhouettes, unconventional fabrics and a vibrant palette consisting of coastal landscape hues combined to create every piece that not only makes you look good but also feel great about your choice.”
