Designer JJ Valaya presented a lavish, graphic array of traditional occasion wear on the runway at Blenders Pride Fashion Nxt in Hyderabad. Celebrity showstoppers Mrunal Thakur and Jim Sarbh walked the runway in monochrome looks at the red carpet themed show.
“Yet another trailblazing showcase of #TheNXTinFashion, as JJ Valaya reimagines the gloss and glamour of red-carpet with Mrunal Thakur and Jim Sarbh, at the stage of Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion NXT,” announced the event organisers on Facebook.
The presentation featured Valaya’s ‘Char’ collection for his brand’s ready-to-wear diffusion line JJV Kapurthala, the label announced on Facebook. Abstract animal prints and sepia floral prints decorated draped sarees and glittering lehengas while men’s looks featured sharp tailoring and geometric prints.
Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion Nxt is a travelling runway show designed to highlight Indian designers and present their collections in conceptual ways. The event runs in 2024 in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India.
“Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion Nxt presents an exciting evolution of fashion experiences in India,” said Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion Nxt’s curator in chief Ashish Soni, the Hindustan Times reported. “It’s not just a showcase of future fashion trends, but a platform that brings a world of high fashion and glamorous style to newer audiences, like it has never been done before. We’ve crafted the Fashion Nxt Festival experience keeping in mind the pulse of fashion and the aspirations of younger audiences in India.”
