Womenswear brand Jisora plans to enter the children’s wear market and is mulling an entry into the menswear market to boost sales and reach more customer demographics as it also shifts its focus from women’s lounge wear to western wear and resort wear.
“Our plan to start kids’ wear is well under process, and with the proper guidance and affirmed teamwork, we will bring comfort to this category too,” said the brand’s co-founder Khushboo Sethi, India Retailing reported. The label’s plan to expand into the menswear category was delayed in order to enable it to capture a greater share of the womenswear market. “But now, we have the right resources, designs, knowledge and a good market to offer menswear under our brand,” said Khushboo.
While expanding its womenswear offering beyond the loungewear it started with to offer a comprehensive wardrobe solution, Jisora also plans to open brick-and-mortar stores across India. The stores will open with a franchise model and will eventually be present across the country.
Siblings Kavya, Mehul and Tushar, and Khushboo Sethi launched Jisora with a family background in the apparel and fashion industry. The word ‘jisora’ means ‘satisfaction’ in the Marwari language, which links to the customer satisfaction the brand aims to engender. The label launches over 40 new designs each month and uses fabrics such as natural silk and pure cotton.
