Luxury footwear and accessories brand Jimmy Choo has joined forces with Bollywood celebrity and brand ambassador Ananya Panday to launch a Diwali themed collection across select boutiques.
“A celebration of the sparkle and splendour of the festival of lights, this capsule reimagines an array of styles in a spectrum of gold and bronze shades cast in metallic leather, glitter and dazzling hot-fix Swarovski crystal finishes,” announced Jimmy Choo in a press release. “Inspired by the rich heritage and traditions of Diwali, the capsule offers glamorous pieces meticulously crafted with exceptional attention to detail.”
The ‘Diwali Capsule’ includes ‘Bing’ and ‘Love’ heel silhouettes in festive renderings, as well as new style, the ‘Saeda Sandal’. The line also features a selection of handbags which are designed to compliment occasion wear for autumn festive celebrations. The collection’s campaign, which featured Panday, was shot by Bikramjit Bose and styled by Priyanka Kapadia.
Jimmy Choo opened its first store in India in Mumbai in 2007. The brand retails in the country through five exclusive brand outlets located across Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Bengaluru, according to the brand’s website.
Jimmy Choo was established in the year 1996 and is part of the Capri Holdings Limited global fashion luxury group. The business is publicly listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker CPRI. Jimmy Choo is currently led by CEO Hannah Colman and creative director Sandra Choi.
