The scarves from the collaborative collection reimagine traditional cashmere accessories in Jil Sander’s signature modern and minimalist aesthetic. Featuring bold text and an understated look, each scarf in the collection is embroidered with the name of the artisan who made it to highlight the importance of their work, Vogue India reported.

“Beauty needs emotion but also a pragmatic approach,” Jil Sander’s co-creative director Lucie Meier told Vogue India about the collaboration. “The value of craft, the correct use of natural resources and the awareness of the profound interdependence between us and nature are fundamental to our future. This line of thought guides all our choices regarding materials, the suppliers we work with and the artisans who collaborate with us.”

Narmada Ramakrishna launched Pink Maharani in Geneva, Switzerland eight years ago. The business works with women’s craft collectives in Kashmir to produce cashmere products for its own label and others, according to its Facebook page.
