The ITM textile machinery trade show and the Texhibition yarns and fabrics show will be held in Istanbul at the beginning of March, respectively featuring 1,200 and 400 exhibitors.
ITM, the international show dedicated to machinery for textiles, yarns, knitting, dyeing, printing, garment finishing and hosiery, is organised by Tüyap Fairs & Exhibition and by Teknik Faire. At its previous edition, held in 2022, it attracted 64,500 visitors and 1,280 exhibitors. The 2024 session will feature 1,200 exhibitors from Turkey and abroad. The event will take place on March 4-8 at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre, and will also welcome delegations from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, India and Egypt.
Texhibition Istanbul, the trade show for fabrics, yarns, components and accessories for the fashion industry, will instead be held at the Istanbul Expo Centre. This edition will focus on collections for Spring/Summer 2025, and will showcase some 400 Turkish manufacturers and suppliers. Texhibition is backed by the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly and by ITHIB (the Istanbul textiles and raw materials exporters association), and it aims to attract visitors from Europe, the Middle East, and the USA.
The two trade shows will be taking place one month after IFCO, the Istanbul Fashion Connection, which was held at the Istanbul Expo Centre on February 7-10. IFCO’s fifth edition attracted 30,000 visitors and 600 exhibitors according to the organiser, ITKIB, the association of textiles and apparel exporters of Istanbul.
The Turkish textiles and apparel industry, which has tax-free access to the European market, comprises approximately 45,000 producers generating some 2 million jobs. Exports account for 60% of the industry’s revenue. Last year, Turkey was the third-largest textiles and apparel supplier to the European Union, and the 12th largest supplier to the USA.
