“IIJS Premiere 2023 was a resounding success and saw a staggering footfall of international visitors this year,” announced the GJEPC on Facebook on August 11. “The world’s second-largest gems and jewellery trade show witnessed a surge of international visitors from the UK, USA, UAE, Kuwait, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Nepal, and Bangladesh including 62+ countries making the show an unprecedented success.”

The trade show featured product categories including loose diamonds, gold and diamond jewellery, machinery, and other goods. A number of businesses took the occasion to launch speciality products such as Zaverat which offered gold mobile phone covers as an IIJS Premiere 2023 exclusive.

IIJS Premiere ran at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai from August 3 to 7 and at the Bombay Exhibition Centre from August 4 to 8. By holding the trade show across two venues, the GJEPC was able to showcase more exhibitors and welcome more visitors for its largest incarnation of the trade show to date. With the tagline “Where Business Happens”, the event was designed to facilitate networking between manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, and other businesses in the industry to boost India’s jewellery trade and exports.
