The Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery concluded its ‘Glimpz 23’ exhibition with an awards ceremony in Mumbai. The event felicitated the next generation of jewellery design talent with awards ranging from best craftsmanship to best design.
The IIGJ’s annual showcase of emerging designers was attended by dignitaries, established jewellery designers, and other industry names, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported on its website. The jury at the event featured industry names including jewellery designer and consultant Indra Jadwani and fashion influencer and writer Meher Castelino.
“Glimpz is a platform that celebrates creativity, ingenuity, and craftsmanship,” said the IIGJ’s head of institute Bharat Vaswani, the GJEPC reported. “The remarkable designs presented by our graduating designers are a testament to their dedication and hard work. We are confident that they will contribute significantly to the evolution of the jewellery industry.”
At the ceremony, Malvika Vadsak won the ‘Best Design Collection’ award for a Greek and Roman Architecture themed collection and Arjun Sharma won ‘Best Craftsmanship’ in the handmade category for a ‘Neo-futurism Architecture’ themed creation. The winner of ‘Best Innovative Product Collection’ was Hasti Dagha for a ‘Gothic Architecture’ theme and Ananya Verma won ‘Best Lookbook’ with the theme of ‘Rajput Architecture’.
