Swedish fast fashion retailer H&M has opened its 62nd store in India to date in Kochi’s Prestige Forum Mall to retail its men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel and accessories. The store is also H&M’s second brick-and-mortar outlet in the city if Kochi.
“Hello Kochi,” announced H&M on Facebook. “We are coming to your city with our second store at Prestige Forum Mall. Avail up to 40% off selected items and the first 100 fashionistas in queue will receive an exclusive goodie bag. Happy Shopping.”
The store joins H&M’s preexisting Kochi store in Edappally. The brand has expanded its brick-and-mortar footprint in India significantly this Spring and recently opened new stores in both Siliguri and Pune.
“Starting the new Indian fiscal year with a boom,” wrote H&M’s country controller for India Louis Coucke on Linkedin. “H&M just opened its second store in Kochi at Prestige Forum Mall. This expansion is a testament to the brand’s commitment to growth and providing customers with elevated fashion in India.”
Erling Persson established H&M in Sweden in 1947 as a clothing brand. The label first launched in India in 2015 and today has an offline retail presence in more than 30 Indian cities while also retailing from its e-commerce store and mobile app for the country.
