Another change of position in the luxury world. As Gucci continues to undergo a management reshuffle, rumors of changes within the luxury sphere continue to spread. Kering‘s flagship brand has confirmed the departure of its Communications Director Benjamin Cercio, while Stefano Cantino from Louis Vuitton might be making his way to the Italian house.
What is certain is that Benjamin Cercio has left Gucci. After fifteen years at Louis Vuitton, where he increasingly took on responsibilities within the press and celebrity sectors, he joined Gucci in 2022 as Global Director of Communications. Last year, his role expanded to Senior Vice President, Global Communications.
At the end of September, the Global Director of Corporate and Internal Communications, Claudio Monteverde, also left the company. He joined Moncler, where he now holds the position of Corporate Communications Manager. In the same month Alessio Vanetti, Gucci’s former Global Director of Communications from 2015 to 2019, made his return to the house as Executive Vice President and Brand Director.
According to the Italian press, Stefano Cantino, who has been the Senior Vice President of Communication and Events at Louis Vuitton since 2018, could soon join Gucci. He previously spent the bulk of his career at Prada, working there for over twenty years. For the last four years, from 2014 to 2018, he held the position of Director of Marketing, Communications, and Development.
Since last fall, Gucci has been led by Jean-François Palus, while the creative direction has been entrusted to Sabato De Sarno, who succeeded the iconic Alessandro Michele at the beginning of 2023.
