GJEPC looks to boost exports from northern region at Delhi seminar

The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council’s Delhi regional office held an interactive workshop to promote exports dir growth. The GJEPC connected with around 40 jewellery industry workers from the northern region at the knowledge sharing event.

The workshop took place at the GJEPC’s Delhi office in the capital’s Flatted Jhandewalan, the GJEPC reported on its website. The session was titled ‘How to start exports of gems and jewellery’ and focused on newly enrolled GJEPC members.
 
The GJEPC’s regional chairman of the northern region Ashok Seth and Committee of Administration member Anil Sankhwal introduced the event’s speakers and the event took place in partnership with the Office of the Additional Director General of Foreign Trade in New Delhi and the Department of Post’s Dak Niryat Kendra. Both organisations offers insight on how to expedite the export process. 

The Director General of Foreign Trade’s assistant director Palani Phani Kiran S shared detailed information about the DGFT’s schemes for the gems and jewellery sector and gave participants advice on how to get the most out of them. The event also featured a presentation on insurance schemes for jewellery exporters as well as how to export jewellery through the Dak Niryat Kendra.
 
The GJEPC works to boost Indian gem and jewellery exports and holds workshops across the country to increase awareness amongst jewellery industry workers on how to do so. The organisation also advocates for the industry in both central and state governments.
