The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council rallied together the jewellery industry to support its Jewellers for Hope Charity at the Grand Hyatt. The evening was attended by guests including Bollywood celebrity Vicky Kaushal and featured an auction and celebration.
The eighth edition of Jewellers for Hope saw Rs 1 crore donated to charitable organisation Relief Projects India, the GJEPC announced on Facebook. Guests made bids and socialised with the aim of gathering together to improve lives across the country and foster community spirit.
“One of the evening’s highlights was the spirited bidding round for an exclusive dinner with industry stalwarts Mr. C K Venkataraman, managing director at Titan Company, and Mr. Paul Rowley, executive vice president of diamond trading, De Beers Group,” announced the GJEPC on Facebook. “The auction, led by Mr. C K Venkataraman, raised is dedicated to supporting the Nanhi Kali initiative. Equally impressive was Mr. Paul Rowley’s generous contribution during the sit-down charity dinner.”
De Beers also pledged to donate funds to charity and the winner of the ‘Dinner with Icons’ event was Sheetal Manufacturing. “This generous donation will have a far-reaching effect, positively transforming the lives of many and contributing to the overall development of our nation,” announced the GJEPC.
