In a post via LinkedIn on Friday, Werner thanked the France-based marque for “a terrific journey,” adding she has “decided to move on to a new challenge,” without providing further information on her next career steps.

Appointed CEO of the Artémis-backed brand in 2020, Werner joined Valli from Louis Vuitton, where she had worked since 2015. At Louis Vuitton, the fashion veteran was responsible for strategic projects for senior executive management and subsequently, in charge of women’s leather goods fashion collections.

Before Louis Vuitton, Werner began her career consulting at McKinsey & Company, working with a large number of clients in the luxury industry on growth strategy, organisation and performance improvement. She graduated from ESSEC in 2006.

“I am very thankful to Mr. François Pinault, Mr. Francois-Henri Pinault and the Artémis team for their trust and continuous support. I am also grateful to Giambattista for sharing his vision of beauty and excellence,” said Werner, via her personal LinkedIn page.

“I am very proud of what we have achieved with the team. I started my journey with the maison in 2020, right in the middle of the Covid crisis. We overcame great challenges, have grown the team, expanded our geographic and product footprint, built and scaled up our online presence, bringing the business into a growth trajectory.”

Founded in 2005 by Italian designer Giambattista Valli, the fashion house in 2017 sold a minority stake to Artémis, the holding company of the Pinault family, the controlling shareholder of Kering. Founding designer Valli currently remains a majority stakeholder.
