Russian troops’ attacks on the civilian infrastructure in Ukraine

Last night, Russian troops launched another missile and aerial strike on the territory of Ukraine, using 4 guided missiles from the S-300 air defense system and 13 Iranian strike UAVs Shahed-136/131 on military and infrastructure objects in the Zaporizhzhia region. Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully destroyed 10 out of 13 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs.

In total, throughout the day, the Russian army carried out 8 missile strikes and 34 aerial attacks, conducting 40 shelling operations with multiple rocket launch systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there are casualties and injured civilians, and more than 20 civilian residential buildings and an educational complex have been damaged.

The probability of missile and aerial strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

The Russian army continues to concentrate its main efforts on the directions of Lyman, Bakhmut and Marinka is ongoing. During the day, there were 18 combat clashes.

  • The operational situation on the Volyn and Polissya directions remains unchanged, with no significant changes observed in the formation of offensive groupings. Identified units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are carrying out tasks in border areas with Ukraine. Combat training and coordination activities of the Russian Federation’s Armed Forces units are ongoing at the Republic of Belarus’ training grounds before their deployment to the areas of combat operations on the territory of Ukraine.
  • In the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the Russian army maintains a military presence. It conducted mortar and artillery shelling on more than 10 populated areas, including Krasni Lozy in the Chernihiv region; Baranivka and Svoboda in the Sumy region; Udy, Hatysche, Ohirtseve, and Dvorichanska in the Kharkiv region.
  • In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards Novoselivka in the Luhansk region. They conducted an aerial strike in the area of Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region. Putnykove, Fiholivka, Dvorichna, Masyutivka, Kupiansk, and Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region were subjected to Russian artillery and mortar shelling.
  • In the Lyman direction, the Russian army conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Bilo-horivka in the Luhansk region and Spirne and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region. More than 10 populated areas, including Bilo-horivka in the Luhansk region and Torske, Dibrova, Verkhniokamyanske, Rozdolivka, and Berestove in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery shelling.
  • In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Bohdanivka and Khromove in the Donetsk region. They conducted an aerial strike near New-York in the Donetsk region. Approximately 15 populated areas, including Chasiv Yar, Kostiantynivka, Klischivka, Bila Hora, Dyliivka, and Pivdenne in the Donetsk region, were affected by Russian artillery shelling.
  • In the Avdiivka direction, with the support of aviation, the Russian army conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Avdiivka and Pervomaiske. It conducted artillery shelling on more than 15 populated areas, including Ocheretine, Keramik, Avdiivka, Severne, Vodianne, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
  • In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian troops repelled all Russian attacks in the area of Marinka. At the same time, the Russian army conducted an aerial strike in the vicinity of this city. It carried out artillery shelling on approximately 10 populated areas, including Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Georgiivka, and Pobeda in the Donetsk region.
  • In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Blahodatne and Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk region. They carried out shelling on approximately 15 populated areas, including Paraskeviivka, Blahodatne, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, and Shakhtarske in the Donetsk region.
  • In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the Russian army is focusing its main efforts on preventing the advancement of Ukrainian troops. It conducted an aerial strike in the area of Antonivka in the Kherson region. Russian troops carried out artillery shelling on more than 40 populated areas, including Novodarivka, Levadne, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Huliaypilskoe, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, Orihiv, Novoandriivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Dudchany, Antonivka, Kherson, Stepianivka, Dniprovskoe in the Kherson region.

Russian troops continue to kill each other on the battlefield. In the village of Serhiivka in the Kherson region, after the latest rotation of positions, from June 15 until the present time, up to 10 Russian servicemen were killed by mines planted during the previous rotation in one of the units of the 5th Army of the Eastern Military District.

At the same time, Russian troops continue to engage in looting and use civilian medical infrastructure in temporarily occupied settlements to provide medical assistance to their wounded soldiers. In the village of Novopskov in the Luhansk region, Russian military personnel loaded furniture from a maternity hospital onto military vehicles and took it away in an unknown direction, while converting the territory of the maternity hospital into a field hospital.

The Ukrainian troops’ strikes on Russian equipment

During the day, the Defense Forces’ aviation conducted 10 strikes on areas where Russian personnel are concentrated and 1 strike on Russian air defense missile system.

Units of the missile forces and artillery hit 6 areas of Russian personnel concentration, weapons, and military equipment, destroyed 3 ammunition depots, 24 artillery units in firing positions, and Russian electronic warfare station.
