E-commerce giant Flipkart’s Gen Z-focused fashion destination Spoyl has launched an official merchandise collection for upcoming Netflix film ‘The Archies’. The collection features over 300 designs spanning apparel, footwear, and accessories.
The Archies is directed by Zoya Akhtar and premiers as a Netflix exclusive on December 7. The Netflix original is set in the 1960s and costume plays a strong role in the production. Anticipating that the movie will be a hit with Gen Z, Spoyl has released a wide range of official merchandise ranging from vintage inspired dresses to loungewear and t-shirts priced from Rs 799, Flipkart announced in a press release.
The Archies collection features both retro and modern style garments to cater to a wide audience. Flipkart has described the official merchandise partnership as “a first-of-its kind association” due to both the size of the collection and the fact that it is Spoyl’s first tie-up with an entertainment production.
“With Spoyl, our mission is to provide every Gen Z fashion shopper in the country with the greatest value on trendy fashion offerings,” said Flipkart Fashion’s senior director Abhishek Maloo in a press release. “We are thrilled to unveil the Archies collection which has been a special collaboration between fashion and entertainment in India – and the start of a new journey for us at Spoyl. We will continue to identify the best avenues that enable us to bring the best of fashion to millions of customers across India through our growing network of sellers.”
