FirstCry parent Brainbees Solutions increases revenue and reduces losses in FY25 Q2

Mother and baby apparel and care brand FirstCry’s parent company Brainbees Solutions saw its operating revenue increase by 26% in the second quarter of the 2024 financial year and reduced its net loss by 47% year on year during the quarter.

“We will continue to strive hard to demonstrate both top-line and bottom-line expansion,” said Brainbees Solutions’ CEO and co-founder Supam Maheshwari, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “As the mix (of business revenue) will change, we will be able to see a percentage-wise increase, while we will continue to optimise our overall spends in a way that our contribution margin post-marketing will continue to improve.”
 
The business’ operating revenue totalled Rs 1,905 crore in the second quarter of the 2024 fiscal year and its net loss was brought down to Rs 62.8 crore. Brainbees Solutions expects to see this positive growth trajectory continue in the current quarter.  
 
Notably, FirstCry’s house of brands subsidiary GlobalBees saw its revenue increase by 55% during the quarter. “One of the important reasons for this growth in GlobalBees is also the advancement of some seasonal sales by the platforms on which GlobalBees sell their products,” said the business’ chief financial officer Gautam Sharma.
