Enrico Eyewear, a leading player in the eyewear industry has raised Rs 2 crore ($2,40,453) in a pre-seed funding round led by 100X VC. The funding round also saw participation by a host of angel investors.
The company will utilise the funds to expand its market presence through various retail distribution initiatives and create awareness about eyewear in the country.
Enrico Eyewear has made significant strides since its inception in 2017. After three years of extensive research, the brand entered the market in 2020 with a focus not only on fashion but also on promoting good eye health.
Commenting on the investment, Ninad Karpe, founder partner at 100X VC in a statement said, “Enrico is targeting an interesting untapped market in the Indian space and truly has enormous potential for rapid growth. As the first institutional investor in the startup, 100 X VC is pleased to witness the brand’s growth trajectory and contribute to the same in all ways possible.”
Enrico Eyewear has made significant inroads in the eyewear market with its innovative products and plans to diversify its product portfolio by launching night-driving glasses and photochromics in the upcoming months.
