Personal care and fast moving consumer goods business Emami Group held a conclave in Kolkata to celebrate its 50th‘golden anniversary’. The event reflected on the business’ legacy and congratulated employees and long standing associates.
The conclave took place at Kolkata’s JW Marriott and was led by the business’ founders R S Agarwal and R S Goenka, Emami Group announced in a press release. The event also welcomed a range of celebrity guests including actors Sonu Sood, Neha Dhupia, and Rituparna Sengupta as well as cricketer Saurav Ganguly, poet Kumar Vishwas, award winning film director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, and writer, singer, and director Anindya Chatterjee among others.

Performances celebrated India’s cultural heritage and Rekha Bharadwaj and Anirban Roy played an array of live music. Emami Group also announced at the event that its future plans will centre around sustainability and social responsibility.
