The second edition of the Swadeshi Mela will be held in Naperville, Chicago and will feature product categories including handloom textiles, ethnic jewellery, clothing, accessories, stoles and scarves, and handicraft goods, Dtribals announced on its website. The event is supported by the Wool and Woolens Export Promotion Council.

The inaugural 2023 edition of the Swadeshi Mela took place in Naperville, Chicago and presented products from all 28 Indian states, according to DTribal’s website. The event included a ‘Bharat Dharshan’ showcase of handcrafts, handloom products, and tourism materials from across the country.

“Through the Swadeshi Mela, we sought to provide a stage for Indian businesses, both established and budding, to showcase their unique products,” said the DTribals Foundation’s president Deepali Saraogi in a statement on the organisation’s website about the 2023 event. “Our 30 vendors, hailing from various Indian states and even American businesses, presented a remarkable array of offerings, reflecting India’s rich tapestry of culture, artistry, and innovation. We are thrilled to have witnessed the fruitful collaborations and agreements that emerged from the B2B meetings, promising a brighter future for Indian products in the United States.”
