The existing agreement, which came into force on January 1, 2020 and was due to expire on December 31, 2029, has been renewed and replaced by a new 16-year contract, effective from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2039. This early renewal and its duration confirm the mutual trust and quality of the collaboration that began between the two companies in 2005.

“For two decades, Dolce & Gabbana has held a special place in our hearts. Since our stories crossed, we have created magnificent, timeless and innovative frames, an extraordinary expression of our Made in Italy. The rapid renewal of our partnership confirms the close link between our companies and the prospects for luxury eyewear in the decades to come,” said Francesco Milleri, Chairman and CEO of EssilorLuxottica.

“EssilorLuxottica and Dolce & Gabbana have built a strong partnership over the past 19 years, both commercially and creatively. The long-term renewal we are signing today confirms our shared confidence in the future and in the opportunities that both companies will be able to seize by continuing to work together in the years to come,” said Alfonso Dolce, CEO of Dolce & Gabbana.

By 2023, the Dolce & Gabbana group will have achieved sales of €1.6 billion, according to Alfonso Dolce, in an interview with McKinsey.
