American workwear brand Dickies announced on Monday the appointment of Denise Anderson to the role of vice president of global marketing.
With over 20 years of marketing experience, Anderson joins the Dickies team from Smartwool, where she has spent the last nine years across various marketing and creative roles including leading global brand marketing and creative design for the last four years.
In her most recent role, the executive helped the brand grow its approach to consumer communications and transformed the marketing and creative team structure to be better integrated into the organization, according to a press release.
In her new role, Anderson will be working mostly from the Dickies’ Ft. Worth, Texas-based headquarters.
“Through her passion for creating authentic and meaningful consumer connections, [Anderson] is excited to bring her wealth of knowledge to the team at Dickies to further resonate with our community,” said the VF Corp.-owned brand in a press release.
The appointment comes nearly one year after parent firm VF Corp. announced the promotion of Todd Dalhausser to the role of global brand president, Dickies, in April last year.
In its most recent trading update, VF Corp. reported a 16% fall in the third-quarter revenue, hurt by weakness in its Vans sneaker brands in the United States and key markets in Europe and Asia.
