Desigual is continuing to evolve its collaboration model. Following its recent partnership with Hillary Taymour, the creative force behind Collina Strada, Desigual is now collaborating with American designer Tyler McGillivary for the launch of a new collection, available now on its e-shop and in select stores.

The new capsule collection is available now on Desigual’s e-shop and in select stores – Desigual

Characterized by its vibrant colors and a distinct inspiration from nature, the new collection taps into Desigual’s rich heritage, incorporating vintage archive pieces. This blends seamlessly with the whimsical DNA and nostalgic style of the late ’90s and early 2000s, a hallmark of McGillivary’s American brand. This dynamic synergy is crafted with the goal of “reinvigorating Desigual’s joyful and bold DNA to captivate Generation Z, who may not yet be familiar with it,” as explained by the New-York based designer.

A key highlight of the collection is its commitment to sustainability, a core principle for both brands. The pieces are crafted using environmentally conscious materials like sustainably sourced cotton, viscose derived from FSC or PEFC certified forests, and polyester recycled from plastic waste.

The collection spans a price range from €39.95 for a serpent or piranha print top to €169 for flared jeans adorned with colorful details. It also includes tropical parrot and water lily prints across t-shirts, variously styled skirts, and sweatshirts. Additionally, the lineup features a water lily-shaped tote bag priced at €69.95 and platform sandals available in pink for €129.

This initiative adds to Desigual’s extensive portfolio of collaborations in recent years, including ventures with genderless fashion designer Hed Mayner, French designer Alphonse Maitrepierre, and Spanish designer María Escoté, with whom Desigual launched a vibrant capsule collection at the end of 2023.

Founded by Thomas Meyer in 1984, the Barcelona-based label operates 393 single-brand stores and is present in over 109 markets internationally through 10 sales channels. According to its latest financial data, Desigual reported a turnover of €379 million in 2022, marking a 2.2% increase from the previous year.
