Designer Rohit Bal admitted to hospital, remains in critical condition

Designer Rohit Bal was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram due to pre-existing medical conditions and remains in critical condition, requiring ventilator support. 

Bal remains under intensive supervision at the hospital, sources at the private establishment told the Hindustan Times. “He is slightly better than previous days but still is on ventilator support,” a close friend of Bal’s told Asian News International on November 29. 
 
Bal was taken to Moolchand Hospital by model and friend Suraj Dhalia and later transferred to Medanta Hospital as his condition worsened Wion News reported. Bal has made numerous hospital visits in recent months due to health complications.

“Gudda is a fighter but his illness has taken a serious toll on him,” a friend told HT City. “He became extremely weak over the last few months. We are praying for him.”
 
Rohit Bal made his fashion debut in 1986 with his brother Rajiv Bal when the duo founded the export company Orchid Oversea Private Limited. Rohit Bal then launched his eponymous brand and first collection in 1990 and, since then, the designer has made a name for himself in both Indian occasion wear and couture.
