Delhi Fashion Club appoints Vikali A Zhimomi as senior advisor

Fashion and youth focused organisation Delhi Fashion Club has appointed entrepreneur and politician Vikali A Zhimomi as a senior advisor. The new role was bestowed on Zhimomi by Delhi-based YouTube personality and Delhi Fashion Club chairman Harshit Dhingaun at a ceremony. 

Zhimomi is the president of the State of Nagaland Women’s Organisation and a member of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party. Zhimomi also works as an entrepreneur and social worker and was chosen for the role of Delhi Fashion Club’s senior advisor to recognise her contribution to the fashion industry in Northeast India, the Delhi Fashion Club announced in a press release. 
 
“Amidst nationwide recognition of Nagaland’s rich talent and culture, Mrs Vikali A Zhimomi stands out as a beacon from Dimapur, not only for her political endeavours but also for her impactful contributions to the creative sphere,” announced Delhi Fashion Club in a press release. “As president of the NDPP Women’s Organisation, a social worker, entrepreneur, and a vibrant personality in the fashion world, Mrs Zhimomi has become a symbol of inspiration.”

Delhi Fashion Club has held a number of events in Northeast India including its ‘International Reinvent Northeast’ fashion show which took place in Dimapur in 2022. Zhimomi attended the event as chief guest and contributed to the promotion of up-and-coming designers and models from the region. Zhimomi and Dhingaun plan to organise further events to showcase Northeast Indian fashion in the near future.
