Tata Digital’s wearables and electronics retail business Croma opened a total of 149 brick-and-mortar outlets in the 2024 financial year which ended on March 31. The business also opened 13 new stores for its ‘Tribe by Croma’ store concept which exclusively houses Apple products.
Croma launched offline in 50 new Indian cities in the 2024 financial year, India Retailing reported. The business opened 36 new brick-and-mortar stores in the fourth quarter of the financial year alone to bolster its retail presence across the country and connect with new customer demographics.
“With a great team you are sure of achieving the mammoth task,” wrote Croma’s head of property and franchising Sahil Kansal on Linkedin. “This year we have opened 149 new stores, adding more than 50 new cities, 13 Apple stores and entering the most beautiful part of the country– [the] North East.”
Croma is run by Infiniti Retail Limited, which is a subsidiary business of the Tata Group. Croma retails a wide selection of smart wearables, a fast growing product category in the Indian market. The business also sells electronics such as laptops, freezers, air conditioners, and smart phones among others, according to its Facebook page.
After launching its first ever store in Mumbai in 2006, Croma has today crossed the 400 store milestone. Tribe by Croma made its offline retail debut last year and is spreading across Indian high streets and malls.
