Cricket player Ravichandran Ashwin will launch Phoenix Marketcity’s ‘Sneaker Fest’ in Chennai on September 3. The event is designed to bring together sneaker enthusiasts for a multi-brand shopping festival.
The interactive event will be held in the mall’s Central Atrium and will run until September 10, Phoenix Marketcity in a press release on August 30. As well as showcasing new sneaker designs by a range of Indian and international brands, the event sill offer shoppers up to 60% off select products.
“Having made his mark in the international cricket arena, Ravichandran Ashwin is all set to galvanise the on lookers with his magnetic presence setting the weekend shopping spree on high levels,” announced Phoenix Marketcity Chennai in a press release. “The typical cricketing star from Chennai Ravichandran Ashwin combines an amazing melange of his winning streaks with great bowling skills and charming personality. So be it for the international team or the Chennai Super Kings team, his enthusiastic cricketing fans will have their unforgettable moments with the Chennai cricketing star at Phoenix Marketcity as he will be there to engage with the onlookers and visit a couple of stores of sneaker brands.”
Brands which will feature in the Sneaker Fest include Reebok, Puma, Adidas, Diesel, H&M, Asics, Fila, Bata, Sketchers, Hush Puppies, Shopper Stop, Aldo, Clark, Mochi, Charles Keith, and The Collective among others. The event is designed to boost mall footfall by harnessing Ashwin’s popularity with Chennai’s shoppers.
