Celine is strengthening its beauty offering. Following the launch of its haute parfumerie collection in 2019, the luxury house, owned by the LVMH group, will be delving into the world of make-up from next autumn.
Under Hedi Slimane, Celine’s creative director since 2018, the brand continues to reinvent itself. Just like its latest collection, called “L’Arc de Triomphe”, presented on March 12 in a twelve-minute film featuring beauty products by Céline.
“The film La collection de l’Arc de Triomphe marks the birth of Céline beauté, the first cosmetics line in the company’s history,” the brand said in a press release.
In 2025, Celine will launch a collection of some fifteen shades of lipstick designed by Hedi Slimane, whose natural pink “bare skin” shade is worn by the models in the film. The “Rouge Triomphe” shade, presented in a gold-faceted case embossed with the brand’s monogram, will be available from autumn 2024.
New Céline beauty products will be launched each season, including eyeliners, mascaras, eye pencils and lip balms. However, Céline is not the only luxury brand to enter the highly dynamic prestige beauty market. Balmain has announced the launch of its own perfume. This is a major trend, with European luxury groups such as Kering and Richemont creating in-house beauty and fragrance divisions.
