Casio’s watch brand G-Shock opened its first exclusive brand outlet in Pune in the city’s recently launched Phoenix Mall of Millennium. The new store is designed to offer an immersive shopping experience to engage with the city’s shoppers and add to its retail presence in Maharashtra.
“The inauguration of Pune’s first exclusive G-Shock store signifies a significant milestone in our strategic expansion strategy,” said Casio India’s managing director Hideki Imai, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “We are dedicated to providing our exclusive G-Shock collection to an ever-evolving audience that seeks innovative, purpose-driven, and exquisitely crafted timepieces.”
The store houses the brand’s men’s and women’s watch collections and its interior features modern design elements. Aiming to reach a wide range of shoppers, designs include both fashion and performance focused timepieces.
“This store underscores our commitment to continually engage with our customers and redefine their perception of watches,” said Imai. “Given Pune’s vibrant culture and thriving spirit, it is fitting that this city takes the lead in advancing G-Shock’s legacy in India.”
At the end of August, G-Shock announced cricketer Shubman Gill as its India brand ambassador. The brand retails in India through its brick-and-mortar stores, Casio’s direct to customer e-commerce store for the country, and on multi-brand online platforms.
