Brand Studio Lifestyle eyes Rs 2,000 crore GMV by FY24 end, plans offline launch

Brand Studio Lifestyle aims to achieve a gross merchandise value of Rs 2,000 crore by the end of the 2024 financial year. Tokyo Talkies’ parent company also plans to bring its numerous fashion brands offline with store launches in the coming few years.

“We attained a gross merchandise value (GMV) of Rs 1,300 crore in fiscal year 2023 and are currently anticipating closing FY24 with a GMV of Rs 2,000 crore,” Brand Studio Lifestyle’s founder Shyam S Prasad told India Retailing in an interview. 
 
The business plans to enter the offline market in the coming two to three years and will open large-format stores across India to reach new customer demographics and increase brand visibility. Brand Studio Lifestyle also plans to continue to expand in the online market to connect with shoppers across the globe and will pursue licensing partnerships to broaden its reach. 

E-commerce is currently Brand Studio Lifestyle’s primary distribution channel and the business’ brands are available on multi-brand platforms including Ajio, Amazon, and Myntra among others as well as its own direct to customer e-commerce store. More than 65% of Brand Studio Lifestyle’s customers come from Tier 1 and 2 cities and the business focuses on Gen Z consumers. 
 
Brand Studio Lifestyle is based in Bengaluru and runs the brands Tokyo Talkies, Highlander, Vishudh, Ketch, Locomotive, and Hoop, according to its website. The business was launched in 2015 and has served over 300 million customers.
