Menswear brand Bombay Shirt Company has opened its first brick-and-mortar store to date in the city of Jaipur located at Bajaj Nagar’s Jewel of India Apartments. The store is the brand’s 17th in India and houses its selection of tailored shirts and other apparel.
“We’re incredibly delighted to bring our high-quality products and world-class in-store experience to Jaipur,” said Bombay Shirt Company’s founder and CEO Akshay Narvekar, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “The city boasts a rich tailoring culture, and its residents appreciate the value of quality fabrics and craftsmanship, which are our areas of expertise.”
The store’s interior is inspired by Jaipur’s rich architectural heritage. Shoppers can browse the brand’s ready-to-wear lines and customise their shirts with the assistance of in-house tailors.
Bombay Shirt Company recently released its latest collection for the autumn season featuring 100% silk shirts with new custom prints, the brand announced on Facebook. The collection also features stretch denim and selvedge denim from Japan and light linen pants among other smart-casual staples.
The brand launched in 2012 and describes itself as India’s first online custom-made shirt brand. After launching online, Bombay Shirt Company pursued an omni-channel expansion strategy and today counts stores in cities including Mumbai and Bengaluru.
