Boat launches new smartwatch integrated with Jio’s e-SIM

Smartwatch and wearables brand Boat has partnered with telecom operator Jio to launch the ‘Lunar Pro LTE’. The smartwatch is integrated with Jio’s e-SIM to enable the wearer to remain connected while away from their smartphone.

“We are excited to partner with Jio to launch our first LTE Smartwatch,” said Boat’s co-founder and CMO Aman Gupta in a press release. “At Boat, we believe that everyone should have access to the latest and greatest technology, and our partnership with Jio is a step in the right direction. We are confident that our LTE Smartwatch will be a game-changer for people in India, providing them with the convenience of staying connected without having to carry their smartphones.”
 
The new Boat LTE smartwatch enables the wearer to make and receive calls as well as send and receive messages from the smartwatch itself. The watch is designed to help people stay connected while on the go and also includes health-focused features such as a heart rate monitor, blood oxygen monitor, sleep tracker, and fitness tracker.

“Jio is delighted to partner with Boat for their new LTE smartwatch that is powered by Jio reliable 4G network,” said a spokesperson for Jio. “Jio has the best network in the country and we are committed to provide the best connected experience to our users. This partnership with boAt is a testament to our commitment to innovation and our focus on providing our customers with the best technology.”
 
The Boat Lunar Pro LTE smartwatch will launch in the coming weeks, according to the brand. Boat is run by parent company Imagine Marketing Limited which has offices across Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
