German footwear brand Birkenstock has strengthened its retail footprint in the Indian market with the launch of its first store in the city of Mumbai.
The store located at Linking Road is spread over an area of 1,600 square meters houses the latest collections from the brand including the limited-edition designer collaborations from its premium brand ‘1774’.
Commenting on the launch, Jens Hattab, regional managing director, Middle East Africa India at Birkenstock in a statement said, “We are thrilled to announce the opening of our first flagship store in Mumbai, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to the Indian market. India is a dynamic market with ever-growing appreciation for quality and comfort, and we see immense potential for Birkenstock’s continued expansion here.”

This year, Birkenstock celebrates 250 years of footwear manufacturing and plans to open new stores worldwide, including in India.
