“We remain bullish on India’s long-term consumption story,” said Biba Fashion Limited’s managing director Siddharath Bindra, Apparel Resources reported. “While challenges persist, we have witnessed a strong rebound in demand during festivals and the ongoing wedding season.”

The brand plans to strengthen its digital presence for growth, Businessline reported. While the business seeks to premiumise its offering to tap into the purchasing power of India’s growing middle and upper middle class, Biba has also launched ‘Rangriti’ as a value fashion label to offer a selection of wedding wear at affordable prices for shoppers on a budget. By catering to a wide range of budgets, Biba aims to continue to expand its customer base.

In order to reach more shoppers offline, Biba plans to open between 40 and 50 new brick-and-mortar stores each year for the coming years for its title brand. The business also aims to significantly expand its retail footprint for Rangriti and launch 100 new outlets for the label in the coming year and a half. The business has responded to the swift rise of quick commerce by streamlining and ameliorating its backend operations in order to improve delivery speeds.
