Bestseller India opened 420 stores across the country in 2023

Apparel retail business Bestseller India expanded its brands’ pan-India brick-and-mortar footprint significantly in 2023. The business opened 420 stores as a mix of exclusive brand outlets and shop in shops for its brands including Indifusion, Only, Jack & Jones, Vero Moda, and Selected Homme.

Bestseller India opened 89 branded stores this calendar year, India Retailing reported. The business opened 331 shop in shops in multi-brand retail outlets and department stores. 
 
Bestseller India opened the majority of its new exclusive brand outlets in North India with 37 launches. The business opened 22 brand stores in South India, 17 in West India, and 13 in East India. For its shop in shops, Bestseller India followed a similar trajectory with 117 launches in North India, 98 in South India, 90 in West India, and 26 in East India. 

Cities where Bestseller opened new stores include Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Moga, Noida, Patna, and Sikar among others. For its shop in shops, the business tapped numerous Tier 2 cities to reach non-metro shoppers and opened in locations including Jammu, Kannur, Cuttack, Kadapa, Mohali, Ranchi, and Hoshiarpur among others. 
 
Bestseller India’s parent company Bestseller first launched in 1975 in Denmark. The business retails across 70 countries and territories around the world and its wholesale business sells to a network of over 16,000 multi-brand retailers. Bestseller also counts 2,700 branded retail outlets in 32 countries with the majority owned by the business and the remainder operated by partners, according to its website.
